Info A Danish home with dusty hues and a homespun feel

Hello! I hope you had a great weekend? I thought I'd start the week with this charming Danish home just outside Copenhagen. It belongs to Anette Ansholm, her husband Christian and daughters Lina (8) and Hannah (5). Decorated mostly in white save for the pretty dusty hues in the cushions and textiles, Anette is a firm believer that everything in a home should tell a story. Many of the items you see are a mix match of items collected on travels, kept from childhood or discovered at flee markets.  Anette is a dab hand at upcycling too, and likes to repair, change or update the items she finds.  I love how her children's drawing also play a part in the interior. I recently framed some of my girls' paintings and not only are they so proud to see them on the wall, but they make a beautiful gallery wall too (says the proud mum!). What a lovely family home, don't you think?

I love all the crocheted items.  I recently picked up a blanket like these at a second hand shop. I'm also a huge fan of tea (being British of course...) - luckily my favourite brand, Kusmi (also seen in Annette's home) is also sold in pretty tins - win win?! You can also pick up a great variety of lovely vintage tins here.

The designer lamps over the table are Lightyears Cracaggio pendant light - (on sale!! oh yes!).

Is there anything that stands out to you about this relaxed home?

More lovely danish inspiration includes the clever space-saving home of an architect, a Danish oasis in Cannes and the home of a stylist.

This afternoon we're heading up to the summer cottage - I hope the sunny weather will continue- yesterday it reached 30 degrees here, can you believe that? In Sweden?! (We had a beautiful sunset dip on Saturday). Long may it continue!

I hope you have a great start to the week, see you tomorrow....

PS have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in a cave?  If so, check out this incredible 'brutalist' house overlooking the Aegean sea. Not for someone with vertigo!
